Terms of Use

These terms apply whenever you use Weld County Residents Directory. By continuing to use the reference, you accept these conditions. Do not use it if you do not agree.

1. The Nature of This Reference

Weld County Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections about people who live or once lived in Weld County, Colorado. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with the Weld County Clerk and Recorder, the Assessor, Weld County Health and Environment, a court, or any other custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the reference only for lawful, personal research. You may not use it or any linked result to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions involving credit, employment, tenant, or insurance matters
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reporting Service

Weld County Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither the reference nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. Nothing here may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. Outside Portals and Services

Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their content, availability, prices, results, or data practices.

5. No Warranties

The reference is supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a page, link, record description, or coverage note is accurate, complete, current, or available, or that an outside portal will return a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this reference or a linked resource. That includes a decision made from a record discovered through it.

7. Your Responsibility

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operators from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Reuse

The original wording, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief, attributed excerpt is allowed. Republishing a full page or copying the content systematically is not.

9. Changes to the Terms

A revised version may be posted here at any time. Continued use after a revision means that the revised terms are accepted.

10. Restricting Access

Access may be blocked or limited for a person who violates these terms or abuses the reference. The operators may take that step at their discretion and without prior notice.

11. Colorado Law

Colorado law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Colorado Open Records Act (CORA), C.R.S. §§24-72-201–206, provides the public-agency request framework, but access remains subject to statutory exceptions and the custodian's decision. The Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. §§6-1-1301 et seq., may govern rights involving personal data held by a covered controller. Vital statistics remain confidential under C.R.S. §§25-2-117–118, and nothing in these terms authorizes conduct prohibited by Colorado stalking law, C.R.S. §18-3-602, or harassment law, C.R.S. §18-9-111.

12. Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
